Dr. Kelly Martinez is Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery. She is a breast surgeon specializing in the management of diseases of the breast, including benign and malignant disease from diagnosis to recovery. Able to do both ultrasound and stereotactic guided breast biopsies, Dr. Martinez is equipped with the latest technologies to evaluate patients with breast abnormalities.
Dr. Martinez received her Bachelor of Arts degree with high honors from the University of Texas at Austin. She received her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio and completed her general surgery residency at Stanford University. She is one of the only breast surgeons in Texas that is a Certified Lymphedema Therapist and certified by the Survivorship Training and Rehab Program. Dr. Martinez has extensive training in advanced Oncoplastic surgical techniques to improve cosmetic outcomes of her surgical patients and has completed the school of Oncoplastic Surgery. She also provides genetic testing for breast cancer patients and utilizes this valuable information in her treatment approach. She is the only breast surgeon in Austin that has completed the Intensive Course in Cancer Risk Assessment.
