Sharyn earned her Associate of Science in Nursing degree in 2009 from Austin Community College in Austin, Texas. She earned her Bachelor of Science in 2013 from the University of Texas at Arlington in Arlington, Texas. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing degree and Nurse Educator Certificate in 2017 from the University of Texas at Arlington in Arlington, Texas.

Awards & Research

She is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner and a Certified Oncology Nurse. She is a member of the Oncology Nurses Society and has extensive experience with medical oncology. Sharyn was on the nursing team that performed the first stem cell transplant at South Austin Medical Center in Austin, Texas.

What I Love About My Job

I have worked in oncology for most of my nursing career. The thing I love most about the field of oncology is the relationships I build with my patients and their families. I love knowing that I am making a difference in someone’s life and it is truly my honor to participate in their care.
