Austin Cancer Centers radiation oncologist Dr. Paiman Ghafoori appeared on KXAN’s Studio 512 this week to inform viewers about the advantages of CyberKnife technology in the treatment of prostate cancer. September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month and the robotic radiosurgery provided by CyberKnife has proven to be a first-line treatment for prostate cancer. Dr. Ghafoori explains how CyberKnife technology provides a safe and effective treatment for prostate cancer that is not only shorter in duration than traditional radiation therapy, but has also proven highly effective at curing prostate cancer or curing prostate cancer in conjunction with other treatment.
